What to wear to your family session:
* Wear similar tones of clothing. In a family group, coordination of clothing is critical. When decorating a home, a major concern is to coordinate the colors and tones of the walls, carpets, draperies, and furniture. This kind of coordination is also necessary when selecting clothing for a group portrait. Choose clothing in the same tonal ranges so that no single member of the family stands out because the clothing is too light or bright as compared to the rest of the group.
* Avoid patterns, logos, brandings and busy designs.
* Long sleeves are better than short sleeves, short sleeves are better than no sleeves.
* In the studio white and denim or white and khaki are great.
* Beware of red, it attracts attention.
* Beware of yellow and turquoise when photographing outside.
* Great color choices: Jewel tones: think emerald, sapphire, ruby. Neutral & Earth tones: think browns, grays, and greens.
* Avoid clothing that shows tan lines and bra straps.
* Never wear white shoes.
* Outdoor sessions think casual- Tucson is a casual town and so are all of the areas where we photograph.
Babies, 8 weeks and under:
* No clothes needed :) No shoes needed.
* If you do bring clothes for babies under 8 weeks old, keep it simple. Onesies, soft blankets, personal stuffed animals, and long gowns work great.
* Avoid bright colors, pastels work best!
* Avoid big collars or overalls, as they tend to ride up on the face.
Children Together:
* If you are photographing children together, wear similar tones (see above in family)
Individual Children:
* After their 1st year, clothing can be more bold. Some ideas are... Girls: layers, stripes with polka dots, hats, tutus, knees socks.... accessorize! Boys: ball caps, fishing hats, cowboy hats, etc.. short sleeve shirts with long sleeve shirts underneath, cool shoes like converse or boots.

Pregnancy Session:
* Bring solid well fitting clothing.
* All black works well, all white works well.
* Coordinate all other children and your Husband. (If you are wearing white your husband and other children should be too! :)
* I love personal props. Be expressive! Shawls, teddy bears, body paint, your ultrasound picture, etc...
* Keep jewelry to a minimum.
* Avoid maternity clothing, especially maternity jeans.
